Chanelle A. Blackie, Esq. was born in Long Beach, CA, but moved to Sarasota, FL where she was raised. Chanelle attended the University of Miami, FL and received her undergraduate degree in Finance. Upon graduating, Chanelle attended The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in Washington DC. Chanelle held various leadership responsibilities throughout her time in law school including Executive Editor of the Catholic University Law Review and Treasurer of the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity. She also served as a Student Attorney for the Families and the Law Clinic, where she represented victims of domestic violence. In addition to her law school responsibilities, Chanelle obtained valuable out of the classroom experience by working as a clerk for Judge Patricia A. Broderick of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and for the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. Chanelle is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and joined FrickTrent, PLLC in 2012.
